Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Lee Morgan “Presenting” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1538. The flat rim playing surface has several superficial and inaudible scuffs/handling marks – most of them on Side 1 – but plays remarkably close to new: clean, crisp and vibrant throughout. The frame Lexington Avenue cover shows wear: the front has a 1” ding at the bottom right corner; the back slick has a 2 ¾” x 1” section missing at the top; the top seam is rubbed/worn (but not split); the spine has several superficial flakes; the bottom seam shows rubbing/wear and a 2 ½” split at the opening.
