Description
Both labels have New York USA printed on the labels; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. The record has the "ear" and "VAN GELDER" inscribed in the dead wax. Leader, Lee Morgan trumpet; Joe Henderson, tenor sax; Ronnie Mathews, piano; Victor Sproles, bass; Billy Higgins, drums. 5 tracks.
Cover: Good + Intact with a number written in small print and small markings on the top spine corner of the front cover. Uneven aging on the front and back cover. A partial record ring on the back cover and a small partial record ring on the front cover. A light, transparent, small stain mark on about 1/2 of the bottom edge of the front cover.
Record: VG++ Visually shows no wear. There are 3 or 4 minor, short, surface brush-like rub marks on both sides. These are barely visible. On Side 1, Track 1 there are 2 or 3 faint clicks at the end of the Track. On Side 2, Track 1, there are several very light clicks that repete near the beginning of Track 1. On Track 3, there are 3 faint clicks near the beginning of the Track. These are barely audible and are followed by 2 similar clicks further along the Track and 1 or 2 clicks close to the end of the track. At the end of the Track there may be a very small "skip". Audibly difficult to confirm. The tracking is not affected. A few light crackles on the last 2 or 3 revolutions. All the noise described is very light. Audibly checked.
