Description

Sonic Boom is an album by jazz trumpeter Lee Morgan, recorded on April 14 and 28, 1967, but not released on the Blue Note label until 1979. Lee is joined by tenor saxophonist David "Fathead" Newman, pianist Cedar Walton, bassist Ron Carter, and drummer Billy Higgins. Amazing album; hard to believe that Blue Note sat on it.
This is the first UK pressing of this album. The vinyl is in very good shape, with surface scuffs and gunk in the grooves that leads to occasional pops and clicks, but still a nice listen. The cover is in very good condition with a small sticker tear on the front and the discoloration that old white sleeves often have, but no splits and overall in fine shape. Company inner sleeve included but stored and ships in a vinyl inner sleeve. Overall a nice copy!
