Original 1979 UK Blue Note/Liberty vinyl LP from The Jazz File series, featuring Lee Morgan with David “Fathead” Newman, Cedar Walton, Ron Carter and Billy Higgins.
Original UK issue:Catalogue number LBR 1020. Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in 1967 and first released in 1979.
About the Album
Sonic Boom is a classic hard-bop session led by influential trumpeter Lee Morgan. Recorded during Morgan's prolific late-1960s period, the album combines memorable compositions, powerful trumpet playing and a distinguished Blue Note ensemble.
Although the music was recorded in April 1967, the session remained unreleased until 1979. This copy is the original UK release from Liberty/United Artists' Jazz File series, rather than a modern reissue.

The vinyl is in excellent, very clean condition with a strong glossy appearance and only minimal signs of previous handling. The Blue Note labels are clean and bright.
The original picture sleeve is in very good plus condition with light age-related edge, corner and handling wear. It remains clean, solid and highly presentable, with no major damage.
