Description
Lee Morgan - Search for the New Land - Blue Note BST-84169 Stereo pressing with Van Gelder stamp on both sides, Stereo stamp on both sides, No ear Lineup includes: Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Grant Green, Herbie Hancock, Reginald Workman, Billy Higgins
Record Condition: Side 1: VG+, small 1/4" but slightly feelable scratch near the opening of track 1 that causes some light pops but that does not overpower the music. The rest of the side is closer to VG++. Side 2: VG, same situation as side 1 - mostly Strong VG+ with light inaudible marks but has a 1/2" hairline at the end of track 1 that extends into the beginning of track 2 that causes noticeable ticks (which is more noticeable in track 2 than track 1 because it is a soft ballad).
Cover Condition: Weak VG-, top seam is really rough and nearly completely split, spine has a 1.5" split, bottom has a 5" split. Piece of tape in upper right hand corner, no writing or stamps on the cover or reverse, ringwear. Please see pictures for details.
About Me: I'm a vinyl collector focusing exclusively on jazz records. I don't sell a lot, but when I do it is from my personal collection. You'll note that nearly all of my feedback ratings are either as a buyer or seller of records and have extensive experience with grading and evaluating them.
My Grading System: My grading doesn't differ from the majority of eBay sellers. Near Mint is reserved for virtually unplayed records and covers without any splits or material flaws. VG++ is a rating reserved for records or covers that are clearly better than VG+ but have one or two cosmetic issues that don't affect play but prevent it from being near mint. VG+ records and covers are clearly used but very enjoyable. There may be very light hairline scratches that are not feelable, paper scuffs, flaking seams or perhaps minor seam splitting. VG records are usually heavily played or may have a needle-drop scratch, both of which will add some background noise in the audio. There may be heavier seam splitting or other cosmetic flaws. VG- records have even more background noise, likely many hairline scratches with pops, but it will still play through without skipping. Covers likely have more extensive ringwear and seam splits. G is a rating I rarely use, except when selling rare records.
International shipping offered, but I participate in eBay Global Shipping program for all international buyers. I apologize if this is an inconvenience.
