Description

This is the rare, original l967 Canadian pressing of Lee Gagnon La Jazztek on Capitol T6226. The playing surface has a single inaudible mark on each side, but is otherwise in beautiful condition, with a high luster. The cover is bright and clean throughout, with just a ½" x 1" area of tape residue at the top left corner of the front. Unfortunately, Gagnon is unknown to many jazz enthusiasts. This is a "killer" recording played by skilled modernists, with six songs, four of which are standards ("Take Five", "Summertime", "How Insensitive", and "Con Alma". Personnel includes Art Roberts, Michel Donato, and Claude Ranger.
