Led Zeppelin 'Remasters' 1990 3LP set + 10'' + 7''. A rare opportunity to purchase not only the Led Zeppelin 'Remasters' 1990 3LP set but also two promotional items that were released to accompany it, a 10'' 4 track disc and a 2 track 7'' disc.
Led Zeppelin 'Remasters' 1990 3LP set ZEP 1: The three vinyls appear to have no marks on them whatsoever. All six sides have been playtested, and I can only detect a few occasional clicks (two near the end of 'Whole Lotta Love'. Otherwise an excellent listen, these vinyls really do sound different to the original albums. All six labels are excellent. The black poly-lined inner sleeves are in excellent condition and the outer tri-fold sleeve is in very good condition, with just a few marks to the outer and some minor wear to the spine. The inner sections to the sleeve are excellent (see photos).
Led Zeppelin 'Remasters' 1990 10'' LZ2: This 10'' 45rpm can only really be graded as fair to good. The disc has been carefully cleaned, but is marked, and after playtesting some clicks and background noise during the quieter sections were detected. Overall though, still a decent listen with no skips. There are some minor marks to the labels. The 10'' sleeve has had some wear, and there are some small red marks on the front. It has been expertly reinforced with clear tape along three sides (an expert job, not done by myself!) and a 10'' clear plastic sleeve is also included. The tracks on the disc are A: 'Stairway To Heaven' and 'Immigrant Song', and B: 'Whole Lotta Love' and 'Good Times, Bad Times' (one track from each of the first four albums). Not a perfect example then, but much more than just a collection filler.
Led Zeppelin 'Remasters' 1990 7'' LZ 3 LC: This 7'' 45rpm can be graded as good to good+. The disc has been carefully cleaned, is only lightly marked, and after playtesting some light background noise during the quieter sections was detected. Overall though a good listen. The tracks are Side 1: 'Stairway To Heaven' and Side 2: 'Whole Lotta Love'. The labels are clean apart from '£10' being written lightly in pencil on Side 1. There is a large centre hole, and an adaptor has been added. The disc comes in an excellent 'Atlantic' house sleeve and also a 7'' polythene sleeve.
The whole set will be packaged in a very strong Kodak photographic box with a removable top, and covered in brown wrapping paper. These discs came from three different sources, and have been in my collection since 1997. I am starting to thin out my vinyl so more items will be available soon.
