I am not a record dealer, just someone who has accumulated a large collection of vinyl in the 1970s and to a certain extent in the 1980s, and now has (sadly) to let my old 'friends' go to new homes (age and inevitable decay- me, not the records).
Led Zeppelin's third release, and for once there is little to say about it that has not already been said. Whole PhD theses have been written on them. This was the first album I ever bought, pocket money clenched in my hot little fist as I went into Bradley's Records in Rotherham. My older brother had bought Led Zeppelin II to play on his new stereo system, and I was blown away by the sound. A whole new world of music. I particularly like the more acoustic sounds, perhaps influenced by the band's friendship with Roy Harper.
I am not an expert on the grading of records, but I do know that 'Mint' and 'near-Mint' are, for all practical purposes, meaningless. Who buys a record and then never plays it? I adhere to the grading system used by 'Record Collectors' publications.
The gate fold cover is in Excellent condition, with only a tiny amount of separation of the lamination at the fold and the spine. The wheel works fine! The vinyl surface has no blemishes that i can see with the naked eye, so Ex in that department. On playback, there is some surface noise but nothing to write home about (I have cleaned it), and I would rate it as VG+ rising toward EX. Please remember that I played these records because I loved the music; I did not buy them as future Collectors’ items or exercises in Hi-Fi navel-gazing. I always took good care of them, however, kept them in vinyl sleeves, and in cases, but even then, some wear is an inevitability.

Side 2 122 So mote it be 2401022 B-5 GHC
This is a re-press (probably) made during 1970, to cope with the phenomenal demand for copies, so it is not a true 1st pressing but very close to it (no 'Peter Grant' credit on label).
