Up for sale is Led Zeppelin's eighth studio album, In Through the Out Door. This would be the final studio album released before the 1980 death of drummer John Bonham and the subsequent breakup of the band, as well as the penultimate studio album released by the group.
The album is noteworthy for several reasons. First off, the album was released with one of six different covers. The design depicted a sephia-toned scene in a bar, and each cover captured the scene from a different perspective. This album has the "C" design, depicting the bar from the bartender's point of view. The inner sleeve also had a black and white design that, if it got wet, would permanently color itself in. 
When new, the album was shipped in a brown paper bag (which does not come with this album) that kept the design a secret. The original inner sleeve does come with this album, and has not been colored in yet. If you are searching for an original copy of this album, you will be hard pressed to find a better example for this price. Read on for detailed album description and condition:
Outer Sleeve (VG): The outer sleeve exhibits shelf wear from its years of storage. There are no seam splits or tears.
Inner Sleeve (VG+): The inner sleeve has mild staining and ring wear, but no tears or seam splits. The sleeve, aside from one side's top right corner, has not been colored in by contact with water. 
Album (NM / EX): This album literally plays like a brand new album. Side 1 has absolutely no blemishes whatsoever. Side 2 has very minor surface noise that will clear up as the album is played more. This is a perfect representation of what this album would have sounded like in 1979 when it was new.

Grading Information: All albums are play tested prior to listing on an Onkyo CP-1036A turntable, with the tonearm calibrated to apply 1.5 grams of pressure. All albums are cleaned with professional grade cleaners, velvet brushes, and microfiber cloths prior to playing and shipping.

All albums are shipped in reinforced cardboard record mailers and protected with bubble wrap. All albums will be removed from the outer sleeves to protect from seam splits.
