Quality vinyl from a trusted seller, expertly packed and delivered to your door

I am sure some of you will remember back to 2008/2009 when I sold off part of my extensive collection for charity – Cancer Research UK and Hope House Hospice.

I am now selling a further part of my extensive collection so please save me as a favourite seller again.

I have been collecting vinyl for nearly 50 years and have an extensive collection which I am again reducing. At the height of my collecting I had well in excess of 50 Led Zeppelin red/plum vinyls.

My feedback is not all recent and so to provide buyers with confidence in my grading, quality of vinyland packaging, here is an extract of my vinyl sales feedback:

This listing

This LP should be acceptable to most collectors; I am not as articulate as a number of eBay sellers on the background, supposed rarity, etc and so will just give you the facts as you know what you’re looking for as otherwise you would not have clicked on this listing.

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV – TRUE TRANSITIONAL DOUBLE MATRIX ORIGINAL RED/PLUM PRESSED STUNNING EX++/NM HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL in a STICKERED UK outer cover with FLIP BACK INNER.

PORKY and PECKO DUCK etchings in run out deadwax. Mastered by, and lacquer cut by, the legendary George Peckham (Porky/Pecko etc), he is famous for his work with Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Genesis amongst others. His work is sought after by collectors due the quality of the vinyl cutting.

You can tell this is an Original Red/Plum pressed vinyl as soon as you pick it up as it is heavyweight vinyl which confirms this as original pressed vinyl.

This Original Red/Plum pressed vinyl in a stickered UK outer cover is SO MUCH RARER than the ORDINARY Red/Plum label vinyl which was extensively pressed in its various Original Red/Plum label formats in view of the huge following that Led Zeppelin had in the early 1970s and, of course, since.

Please see my opinion detailed in red below on how MEGA RARE this LP is. You might want to read that first before reading the rest of the description.

This is a HIGHLY RARE transitional pressing from when the catalogue numbers changed over from 2401012 to K 50008 in 1972.

Released in a UK press Atlantic un-laminated gatefold cover with a rectangular sticker on the rear cover. Unlike Led Zeppelin I – III there was no need to cover up the Red/Plum catalogue number as, of course, there was no identifying album name or catalogue number on Led Zeppelin IV and so it was placed near to the top right hand corner on the rear cover; the cover really is beautiful.

In order to be a TRUE TRANSITIONAL DOUBLE MATRIX ORIGINAL RED/PLUM PRESSED HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL then it needs to have a FLIP BACK original inner sleeve not the later non flip back version.

MISPRINT - "Misty Mountain TOP" on side 2.

Atlantic/Kinney Green/Orange ridged/indented label with NO WEA "w" logo on the label rim text with the K 50008 catalogue number on the labels as you would expect from the VERY FIRST Green/Orange label TRUE TRANSITIONAL DOUBLE MATRIX pressing.

THE STICKER on the inner top right hand corner of the rear gatefold cover is rectangular as was seen on Led Zeppelin I and II whereas these were oval and rectangular on Led Zeppelin III.

FRAGILE DARK GREY PAPER LYRIC INNER WITH FLIP BACKS – this has survived remarkably well in that it is NOT SLIT on the bottom or one of the sides BUT has a 6cm fine slit on the other side. There is no writing on it apart from “42.20”  (for the total track time) written neatly on the track listing flip back side; there is very little handling discolouration to the edges of this extremely prone to wear inner. There is a long fine crease starting near the top left corner of the lyric side which extends almost to the bottom edge, this is not overly obtrusive. There is a patch of Sellotape residue on the top left flip back which must have been put there many years ago as to hold down the flip back but the flip back is firmly secured to the inner sleeve. Of course how many collectors would ever keep the vinyl in this fragile inner lyric sleeve and so permanently sealing it would often have made sense so as to avoid any further damage.

Interestingly whilst Jimmy Page forced through the removal of Peter Grant’s name from the label credit it was not followed through to the inner sleeve, which still credited Peter Grant.

The STUNNING vinyl is an Original Red/Plum pressed heavyweight vinyl which has the following matrix numbers:

Matrix Nos: Side 1: ORIGINAL RED/PLUM 2401012 ** A/3 1 4 with PECKO DUCK ETCH only found on UK 1st PRESS and Green/Orange K 50002 A (no numbers) with Side 2:  ORIGINAL RED/PLUM 2401012 B/4 1 3 with PORKY ETCH only found on UK 1st PRESS and Green/Orange K 50002 B (no numbers). This is a TRUE TRANSITIONAL DOUBLE MATRIX COPY.

So there we are an Original Red/Plum heavyweight vinyl in a stickered UK outer cover with Original UK 1st PRESS darker flip back inner sleeve.

My usual detailed listing description after red opinion text that follows.

So there we have it, what are you waiting for bid now!!

Good luck if you decide to bid.

My opinion on:

Led Zeppelin I - IV - TRUE transitional double matrix copies - Original Red/Plum to Green/Orange pressing vinyl and cover.

I know that there were UK 1st and 2nd pressings within the Red/Plum labels but for the sake of clarity I am going to refer to all Red/Plum label variants as ORIGINAL Red/Plum for the purposes of TRUE transitional double matrix copies.

I thought I would give my opinion on these in order to clarify what is and what is not a TRUE transitional double matrix copy both in terms of the vinyl and the cover.

I am of the firm opinion that these TRUE TRANSITIONAL DOUBLE MATRIX VERSIONS (both catalogue numbers on the run out deadwax on both sides) ARE FAR RARER THAN THE ORIGINAL RED/PLUM VINYL which was issued in large numbers due to the global success of Led Zeppelin.

So here we go.

I first wrote about the existence of these about 10 years ago when I sold part of my collection. You will see from my feedback that I sold a TRUE Led Zeppelin IV heavyweight double matrix vinyl for £204 and have sold similar ones of Led Zeppelin I – IV for £150 each to a private collector in the USA.

In my opinion, as a serious collector of Led Zeppelin vinyl and memorabilia, much mis-information is out there since I wrote about these rare vinyl pressings almost 10 years ago and it could be from a general lack of knowledge and understanding of what a TRUE transitional double matrix copy is that many listings claim to be a TRUE transitional double matrix copy when in fact they are not.

It is well documented that Atlantic/Kinney changed the colour of the labels and catalogue number for Led Zeppelin I - IV from Red/Plum to Green/Orange in 1972.

I believe that at some point during the pressing plant operation Original Red/Plum vinyl was pressed ready for labelling but it did not have sufficient remaining Original Red/Plum labels to place on the vinyl on the day of the switch over to the new Green/Orange labels for the first four albums and so there was surplus Original Red/Plum pressed vinyl stock which they did not want to throw away and so the plant added the Green/Orange labels to those remaining vinyls.

In order to have the correct catalogue number on the outer cover and vinyl run out deadwax the new Green/Orange label catalogue number was added alongside the Original Red/Plum vinyl e.g. Led Zeppelin I - To the Original Red/Plum 588171 label catalogue number was added the Green/Orange label catalogue number K40031.

Now in order to differentiate this TRUE transitional double matrix vinyl from the soon to be pressed Green/Orange label catalogue number K40031 vinyl commencing with an A1/B1 matrix the pressing plant denoted these TRUE transitional double matrix copies with K40031 A/B (with no numbers). It goes without saying that you would expect to see the latest Original Red/Plum matrix numbers on TRUE transitional double matrix copies are these were the unsold latest batch pressed.

Turning now to the vinyl:

The vinyl

The vinyl would have been Original Red/Plum pressed vinyl; this vinyl was heavier than the later pressed Green/Orange label vinyl with only the K40031 A1/B1 and subsequent pressing matrix numbers in the run out deadwax.

To be a TRUE transitional double matrix copy the vinyl bearing the Green/Orange labels should be heavyweight UK 1st press just like the Original Red/Plum pressings as that is exactly what it was. I have seen a small number of lighter weight vinyl copies but these are less collectable and rare as a few pressing plants may well have had the masters/mothers set up but switched to the more lightweight vinyl manufacture in the first 1970s energy crisis.

The vinyl run out deadwax should include A/B matrix (with no numbers) for the Green/Orange catalogue number and usually the last Original Red/Plum matrix version ON BOTH run out deadwax NOT just on one side as these are normally lightweight vinyl versions.

Green/Orange label with NO WEA "W" logo on the label rim text as you would expect.

The cover

The pressing plants would again have had surplus cover stock on the label switch over date. In order to use up existing stock of covers the pressing plant produced a sticker which was far cheaper to produce than the cover and so you will see on the reverse of Led Zeppelin I a sticker with K40031 over the 588171 catalogue number in the top right hand rear cover and on IV a sticker on the rear cover as there was, of course, no catalogue number on the cover. On Led Zeppelin II the sticker K40037 covers 588198 on the inner gatefold and on III it is in the same place, there were 2 types of sticker for III the first was similar to 1, II and IV i.e. rectangular in shape and the second is a large circular sticker cover the whole of the text on the right hand inner gatefold. PLEASE BEWARE of any covers you see with text on the left hand inner gatefold with Atlantic Stereo SD7201  on the front cover as these are the not the UK 1st press version but USA version which was also used in Europe.

Logic says that these TRUE transitional double matrix copies with Green/Orange labels had stickers placed on the cover to show the correct catalogue number by covering up the old Original Red/Plum catalogue number.

Later Green/Orange label pressings had the correct catalogue number and the stickers were only needed for cover stock “in hand” on the label switch date.

The pressing plant did not bother to make a sticker for the cover spine.

Now when the stock in hand of original catalogue number covers was exhausted the new “K” prefix covers were used, no need to have a sticker on the new “K”prefix covers as the label and catalogue number would match. Clearly the original catalogue number covers with a sticker are rarer and more valuable than just a double matrices vinyl in a “K” prefix cover.

Some Led Zeppelin I TRUE transitional double matrix copies were sold with pinched spine ends such as K40031 covers when the pressing plant had Original Red/Plum pressed vinyl but no Original Red/Plum 588171 covers left to put stickers on; the very 1st Green/Orange label K40031 albums were sold with pinched spine ends as these were popular in the 1970s (Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers was another example of pinched spine ends on the first batch sold).

I have seen some Led Zeppelin II Original Red/Plum vinyl with a stickered cover for sale and suspect that the Original Red/Plum 588198 light brown cover, which was so highly prone to wear, was replaced by a new stickered cover and the perceived less valuable  Green/Orange label TRUE transitional double matrix vinyl discarded; which of course was a bad financial decision if, as I proffer, these TRUE transitional double matrix copies pressed as Original Red/Plum quality vinyl with stickered covers were actually considerably rarer, more collectable than the Original Red/Plum label vinyl in an Original cover and as a result more valuable.

I have recently sold an example of each of Led Zeppelin III TRUE transitional double matrix copies pressed as Original Red/Plum quality vinyl with stickered covers detailing the two sticker types.

I do have a number of these Led Zeppelin TRUE transitional double matrix copies which I will be selling over the coming months and so it could be said that I have a vested interest in what I have written, whilst this is true I am writing it again to update collectors that may not have seen the original piece from 10 years ago so that they are aware of the facts as I see it.

I hope this helps collectors and bidders, if you need to clarify anything please use eBay message system attached to this listing.

So there we have it, what are you waiting for bid now!!

Good luck if you decide to bid.

Cover Grade, Maker and Format

Gatefold UK un-laminated cover which is very prone to wear, this cover looks in great condition with lovely front and rear covers and a lovely square spine. Transitional sticker on the rear. Graded EX or possibly higher.

Outer Cover

Collectors know that this cover is so prone to wear and finding a UK 1st press 2401012 cover that is truly EX+ or higher is virtually impossible. The outer gatefold cover has some ABSOLUTE MINIMAL GENERAL HANDLING AND STORAGE WEAR and the front and rear covers are both lovely and clean; finding one with the transitional sticker is immensely difficult. ALL IMPORTANT STICKER ON RIGHT HAND TOP CORNER OF REAR GATEFOLD.

Inner cover (if gatefold)

This has a minimal amount of handling and storage wear

Cover edges

I can see hardly any storage rubbing wear to top and bottom edges on this beautiful cover.

Spine and text

The spine has no issues and is lovely and square/wide. There was no text on the spine as collectors will know.

Corners

No corner rubbing except for the minutest of tipping.

Original inner sleeve

FRAGILE DARK GREY PAPER LYRIC INNER WITH FLIP BACKS – this has survived remarkably well in that it is NOT SLIT on the bottom or one of the sides BUT has a 6cm fine slit on the other side. There is no writing on it apart from “42.20” (for the total track time) written neatly on the track listing flip back side; there is very little handling discolouration to the edges of this extremely prone to wear inner. Of course how many collectors would ever keep the vinyl in this fragile inner lyric sleeve and so permanently sealing it would often have made sense so as to avoid any further damage. Graded VG/VG+. New inner supplied with plain white cardboard outer.

Vinyl

condition and grading

The jet black vinyl is in beautiful condition, I cannot see any faint hairline surface marks on this heavyweight vinyl, all opened vinyl has sleeve withdrawal wispy lines and this is fully expected. Graded EX++/NM

Sound quality

This vinyl has had some playtime I am sure as it was bought for that purpose but playback on this is superb.

Points of interest

TRUE TRANSITIONAL DOUBLE MATRIX COPY in a Stickered UK cover with PORKY and PECKO DUCK etchings

Some listing description terms and my interpretation - which may help you

Surface Marks = Superficial, usually light marks, hairlines or light scuffs that rarely sound. These often occur when sliding vinyl in and out of a paper or cardboard inner sleeve.

Scratch= a needle mark that goes below the record’s surface, some will sound, some will not. Any clicks etc caused by scratches will be noted in listing description.

Original= a record that has been pressed with the first label design which does not necessarily mean the very first batch pressed. An example is Led Zeppelin IV red/plum label which had numerous label variations in its “original” format. It is up to the buyer to satisfy themselves as to original or re-issue and which variation of original label it is; I will state what I believe to be true.

First Pressing = A record that I believe or know to be a genuine first pressed record. I do not claim to be a leading authority, and that’s why I state the stamper and matrix numbers if at all possible, for those who claim to fully understand all the variants and different pressing plants used; the information is there for the potential bidder to decide. I understand that some records were pressed in batches of 300 per stamper, different pressing plants were often used to cope with demand and so variances do occur.

Surface Sound = Mild, light sound, usually light crackle or similar often caused by dust particles or worn stylus within the grooves.

Foxing=Discolouration often light brown spots on the label or cover.

Feathering= Fraying or softening of the entry edge of a cover. Covers with feathered entrance edges are more likely to have had the actual record inserted and removed more than anon-feathered, sharp-edged cover which are always far more attractive. Since the LP has been in my possession the vinyl has always been kept separately from the outer cover to mitigate this.

Ringwear= vinyl impression on the inner and/or outer cover. Since the LP has been in my possession the vinyl has always been kept separately from the inner/outer cover to mitigate this unless sealed.

Spindle traces or spiders = these are seen on the label with darker coloured labels such as Creation or Track being the most prone to this. Numerous spindle traces could suggest poor handling when placing on turntable.

Original inner sleeve = supplied with the record and clearly identified as such e.g. record released in April 1970 with a 0470inner sleeve,  108for October 1968 or company sleeve such as Decca. I will state in the listing description if the original inner sleeve is present and will only include one if it was part of the original packaging.

Important information - please read before bidding/buying

General condition of vinyl and cover

I try, tothe best of my ability, to describe as accurately and as honesty as I can allitems I offer for sale with all the relevant information I can think of to helpany potential bidder and collector (as I am myself with over 50 Led Zeppelinred/plum copies). I will mention any defects or flaws no matter how small thatI notice to be fair as possible to any interested collector.

Vinyl

You canassume that there are no warps on the vinyl I sell; whilst no record sitsperfectly flat on a turntable you can assume there will be no discernible ormaterial warping. You can also assume no vinyl will stick or jump.

Thelabels will be graffiti and sticker free and not torn, you can expect spindlespider tracing on the labels, some such as Creation blue labels are more proneto this, as are Track black labels. I will point out any significant issues inthe listing. Any promo sticker on the label will be an original and thereforeignored for the purposes this paragraph.

The vinylI will be selling is 40/50 years old and will have been played to some extent. Despitewhat you may see described elsewhere I do not believe you can tell how manytimes a vinyl has been played and so you have to assume it will have beenplayed often as it was bought for that purpose.

Vinylwill have some background or surface noise, as the BBC DJ John Peel famouslysaid "Somebody was trying to tell methat CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. Isaid, 'Listen, mate, life has surface noise." I deep cleanall vinyl on a professional Project II vacuum type record cleaning machine withProject proprietary cleaner to make the vinyl the best it can be, as the audioperformance will deteriorate by exposure over time and will obviously bereturned closer to the original sound by using this method. Many I offer forsale have had little use although there can be dust in the grooves, even whenalmost new; this is the original authentic sound John Peel recognised and evencleaning with a machine may still leave some background surface noise. I amaware that cleaning can be a controversial subject with vinyl collectors, audiopurists and enthusiasts so I use Project proprietary solution which shouldsatisfy most collectors.

In myexperience there is always an element of surface or background sound with audioreproduction on vinyl, even when new. Almost all used vinyl has at least lightsurface marks which are always visible when viewed under a bright light andoccur predominately when paper inner sleeves or cardboard picture sleeves (suchas Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti) are present - So if you are uncomfortablewith a bit of light crackling it’s probably best not to buy vinyl as John Peelwould say. In my opinion the light surface sound is more than compensated for bythe clarity and ‘reality’ of the overall sound reproduction.

I willnot photograph the runoff dead wax to show matrix numbers as these will beclearly stated in the listing description along with stampers and inscriptionssuch as the cutting work of the legendary George Peckham on Led Zeppelin andDeep Purple LPs – Porky/Pecko etc.

When Imention age in my listings it is not an excuse for poor condition but as matterof fact. I do not regard condition as age related, it is primarily dependent oncare over its life, and if you ever see an LP described as ‘good for its age’ Irecommend you avoid it because more often than not it’s an excuse for somethingthat has not been carefully used.

I do notprovide a full track listing as buyers are generally aware of the LP they arelooking for and what tracks are on the LP. If any buyer wants a track listing Iwill supply it, an alternative is to search via Discogs. The photographs willshow the label for each side of the vinyl which should enable buyers to see thetracks included.

Whilst Ihave owned the LP the vinyl has been stored separately from the outer cover asdetailed in the final photograph in the listing, which details part of myextensive collection. I store the vinyl in new poly-lined inner sleeves andthen they are placed in white cardboard outer sleeves; your purchases will besent to you in this format, see listing photographs

Covers

If thevinyl I will be selling is 40/50 years old then the covers will have beenstored for that length of time either in plastic outer covers or not, none arevault sealed copies. The covers may well have moved home several times with theoriginal and subsequent owners.

You canassume there will be no writing or graffiti on the covers unless I mention it,any sticker removal marks will be mentioned in the listing.

Whilst Ihave owned the LP the vinyl has been stored separately from the outer cover asdetailed in the final photograph of the listing, which details part-of myextensive collection.

My coversare stored in re-sealable poly bags to mitigate ringwear, your purchases willbe sent to you in this format, see listing photograph.

I willsend any original inner sleeve with the LP on the basis that it is not ageneric paper sleeve bought later. I will state in the listing if there is anoriginal inner sleeve included. Expect ringwear and creases with any originalinner sleeve.

Grading

I havedescribed this record strictly according to The Record Collector RRPG gradingsystem with my own interpretation included for near mint (NM) LPs, so therewill be no nasty surprises for the winning bidder or buyer. This LP has beencarefully graded as it is not in my interests to over grade; see my feedbackwhich bears testimony to my approach to grading and buyers viewpoint on it.

Mint (M) the-recorditself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration insound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, bookletor poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayedshould be mint. I will not sell any LPs with this grade as I cannot guaranteethat they have never been played.

Near Mint (NM) therecord shows some signs of having been played, but there is virtually nolessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wearand/or creasing. Some cover designs (such as the original Rolling Stones StickyFingers with zip covers) caused damage to other LPs when stacked in recordshops and so once handled even unsealed unplayed mint records and covers canhave wear. I have used this grading in my previous listings even with the NM+grade and buyers were more than happy with my grading.

Excellent (EX) therecord shows some signs of having been played, but there is very littlelessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wearand/or creasing.

Very good (VG) therecord has obviously been played many times, but displays no majordeterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and theoccasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good (G) therecord has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeablydeteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover andcontents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

I willnot list LPs that are in Fair or Poor condition irrespective of rarity.

The use of plus(+) or minus (-) allows for items that fall between theabove grades.

Photographs

Pleasenote that I am not a professional photographer and in some of the photographsin my listings you may see slight shadowing or darker patches and colourinconsistencies together with reflections in the runoff deadwax, this is due tomy inability with a camera and not due to deficiencies in the vinyl/cover.

I do notuse photographs to enhance albums; they are included as an aid to bidders and Itry to highlight any flaws or blemishes – not to bleach out, obscure or avoidthem as it will not miraculously transform into a mint vinyl and cover intransit when was not in the first place.

Allphotographs contained within this listing show the actual item (s) offered-they are not catalogue, archive or library photographs. I try to use images inthe listing to provide the potential bidder the best opportunity to evaluatethe item(s); however it is possible that in some circumstances the photographscan enhance the appearance of the item(s) due to compression so please takethis into account before bidding and do not hesitate to ask for more images orinformation which I am happy to send by attachment via eBay message system.

My photogalleries always feature photos taken from as many angles as reasonablypossible, with ‘zoom’ and ‘enlarge’ facilities, because I want potentialbidders to have the best opportunity to examine visual condition. I alwaysrequest the maximum photo facility from the eBay system but I have noticed thaton some occasions, presumably due to technical glitches, the ‘zoom’ and‘enlarge’ does not work. If you ever have any difficulty obtaining satisfactoryimages from my listings please contact me via eBay message attached to thelisting and I will send you more photographs as an attachment in my reply.

I haveprovided the photographs to enable potential bidders to have the bestopportunity to make their evaluation before entering the bidding process, pleasejust click on the ‘Zoom or Enlarge’ and arrows to use this facility. Sometimesdue to reflection these images can appear slightly distorted, ‘graining’ canappear and dust particles can be exaggerated by the light - in reality thereare no defects of this kind unless clearly stated in the listing description.

Packing of vinyl

I sendout in pizza box style packaging with a minimum of 2 cardboard stiffeners andbubblewrap. I have sent out vinyl across the world without any reports ofdefects in packaging, my feedback bears testimony to how I pack my vinyl. I DONOT use mailing envelopes even for lower value vinyl as they are not fit forpurpose.

Allvinyl, irrespective of value, is sent in a new poly lined inner. This is thenplaced in a white cardboard sleeve for transit.

All vinylhoused in the poly-lined sleeve is not sent in the original outer cover toprevent “knifing” of the outer cover in transit. The white cardboard sleevewill help protect the vinyl in transit.

I willpack specifically to buyer’s requirements if advised prior to shipping, if Icannot do so for whatever reason then I will notify buyer who then has theoption to withdraw from the transaction.

Delivery can take 4 to 6 weeks from the UK, please bepatient and it will arrive, don’t forget it is insured just in case it is lostin transit. I will submit a tracking number to the winning bidder, and when thepacket arrives there it can be followed online using the Russian postalwebsite.

Postingto Italy: Yes I do post to Italy, I have previously had bad experiences withthe Italian postal service and so all packages will be signed for withoutexception, as is the case with all international sales.

I amhappy to combine listings won to save on postage costs, please let me know ifyou want to defer payment until you have finished buying. I expect allpurchases to be paid for within 14 days of the original purchase.

Proof ofshipping is retained for all postings and I will provide tracking numbers, where applicable. I will notify the buyer via eBay system when the item hasbeen shipped.

I usequality packing materials, the cost of which is not fully recovered in thepostage cost paid by the buyer, please bear this in mind.

The buyeris responsible for all import taxes/duties and other related charges into theirown country as applicable. If the LP is returned due to failure of the buyer topay the appropriate import taxes/duties and other related charges then if theLP is to be re-posted a further postage charge will be made which the buyermust pay before it is re-posted.

Payment for purchases

I onlyaccept PayPal in £ Sterling (GBP). I do not accept PayPal Echeques.

Pleasewait for an invoice before paying as this may need to be adjusted to reflectfully insured postage based upon the final sales value.

Latepayers, non-payers and ‘0’ feedback bidders or if the bidder’s feedback is ofsuch limited quantity that it cannot be regarded as reliable and/or thebidder’s feedback is of dubious quality and/or gives the me any indication orreason to doubt the credibility of the bid they will be blocked or bidscancelled at my discretion, “0” or negative feedback bidders should contact mevia eBay message system before bidding if they want to bid on any of mylistings.

Ifpayment is not received within the expected 14 days of the original purchase Iwill issue a non-paying bidder alert and if payment is not received, at mydiscretion thereafter, I will re-list the item.

Returns Policy

If anywinning bidder is not satisfied with their purchase I will offer a completerefund. I will not refund if any defect detail is clearly stated in the listingdescription and subsequently missed by the buyer, so read the item descriptioncarefully. If any potential buyer does not understand anything in my listing, please use eBay message system and ask me to help.

Althoughit is extremely rare, there can be a difference between my descriptions, andopinions, and an individual buyer’s expectations so I have clearly statedReturns Policy for added reassurance which is detailed here and in all mylistings. In the unlikely event that you want to use this facility pleasecontact me to agree the procedure. There really will never be a reason to haveany problem with an item you purchase from me. Before bidding please read thelisting carefully as it is there to inform bidders and prevent anymisunderstandings.

All ofthe comment contained in this listing is subjective, it is based on my personalopinion and your expectations may not necessarily correspond with my views. Ifyou receive an LP from me and you have some differences please remember to usereasonable communication as a first option rather than leave negative feedback.I ask for an opportunity to put things right, which I think is a reasonableapproach and one that I have used throughout my life.

I do notconsider partial refunds to be an adequate method of dealing with any problemsthat may arise and will not be held to ransom by unscrupulous buyers underthreat of negative feedback that seek to do so. I provide a full refund returnsoffering as stated below when it’s my fault.

If it’smy fault and I have made a genuine mistake when compiling the listing then Ioffer a return on a fully refunded basis i.e. to include return postage. On myprevious sales this has only happened once with a buyer who had purchased anumber of LPs and I ask that this generous offer is not abused or it may bewithdrawn.

The buyerwill need to ensure that the returned LP is in the same condition and theactual one sent to them together with all other items detailed in the listing. The buyer will need to ensure that they take steps to protect themselves forloss in transit with adequate packaging as this is beyond my control.

Feedback

I leavefeedback for buyers after they inform me that they have received the item(s)and have left me their feedback. As I have a clearly stated Returns Policy, which does not expose the buyer to any direct loss whatsoever, I see no reasonfor either side to indulge in negative feedback. Providing the buyer does notengage in threats, abuse or use of negative feedback I will resolve any problemin a fair and reasonable way. If you have a problem or complaint about anytransaction you have made with me contact me via eBay message system and wewill find a solution that is mutually acceptable.

Thanks for your interest, Paul
