Led Zeppelin - IV (4 symbols)
This exceptional example of Led Zeppelin's untitled fourth studio album, known commonly as 'Led Zeppelin IV', is a UK 1st pressing crossover on the sought after plum and orange Atlantic labels.
The matrix number for the A side indicates that was produced by the first lacquer plate (a first press). In support of this, the vinyl contains an error to the matrix number on Side 1 in which it was stamped B instead of A and manually corrected.
The matrix number for the B side, B//4, indicates that this side was produced from the second lacquer plate. As such, the record is a first/second press crossover. The mother & stamper codes for the B side, 1111, suggest that it was produced from the first set mother plate to be produced by the second lacquer. Consequently the audio reproduction is fantastic! Take a listen for yourself below.
The labels are the 5th variant in which 'Misty Mountain Hop' is mis-titled 'Misty Mountain Top'.
The vinyl is housed within the original first variant non-laminated gatefold sleeve which has no catalogue number to the rear.
The album is complete with the original dark grey lyric inner sleeve.

Serial number: 2401012
Matrix number: A//3 / B//4
Stamper codes: 1 2 1 0 / 1 1 1 1
Vinyl Weight: 140g

Labels: MINT-
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. No spindle wear is evident.
The vinyl retains immaculate, factory fresh deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight no visible blemishes are. present. Under the glare of a halogen desk lamp a handful of wispy paper hairlines are visible alongside an iridescent rainbow sheen.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
The audio is superb! Take a listen for yourself:
Please note: the eBay app does not support playback of the audio clips. Please use the internet site to enjoy the recordings.
Side 1:

Side 2:

As can be heard from the recordings, this vinyl has clearly been played cautiously on good quality equipment. All tracks play through with great clarity and distinction. There are quiet lead ins to both sides. It is quiet between tracks. 'Stairway to Heaven' is particularly quiet and sounds superb! It is difficult to upgrade from this!
Sleeve: VERY GOOD +
The iconic sleeve looks fantastic. All four sides are clean and maintain bright colours. No scuffing is visible. The sleeve would be a strong EX if not for a small section (2cm) of damage to the spine. All corners are strong with just subtle softening. The top, bottom and opening edges show minor storage rubbing.
Inner Sleeve: VERY GOOD +
The original inner sleeve has 'vintage' tape on three sides. There are no rips or tears as is common. The vinyl is housed inside an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the record and inner sleeve.

The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
