Led Zeppelin IV 4 1971 US 1st AT/GP Porky Pecko Duck SD 7208 w/ Hype VG+/NM. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
Until now, I’ve never held an early copy of IV that wasn’t thrashed in every possible way. Even in the mid 70s, when these were relatively new, IV was always a mess, passed around, and rarely finding its way back to whoever’s name was scrawled on the cover.
This one escaped that fate, somehow. Even the original matte inner sleeve is fully intact. The record is probably as good as it’s going to get outside of a sealed NOS copy. No smoke, no mirrors, no excuses, no guru, no method, no teacher. Couple of superficial surface scuffs, and the rest is brilliant, shiny licorice pizza. Has the early Porky/Pecko stamps as pictured. Side 2 label has fine wrinkling that is almost certainly a manufacturing defect. Outer sleeve has no splits and only faint wear. Most of the original hype sticker is included.
