Description
Here is your opportunity to own the self titled debut album from Led Zeppelin. This was the very first studio album from Led Zeppelin. This was the album that started it all. Led Zeppelin managed to fuse blues rock and hard rock with a tinge of heavy metal. It is really difficult to not play this album loud. If you have never heard this album, you owe it to yourself to hear it on vinyl. It is one of my all time favorites and I highly recommend it. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Led Zeppelin I number 29 out of the top 500 albums of all time. This LP is the ultra rare 1st U.S. pressing on Atlantic Records from 1969. This particular LP has the Atlantic Purple and Brown label. Side one has a different mix when compared to the standard pressing. In addition, side two has a pause between Black Mountain Side and Communication Breakdown. A long pause also exists between Communication Breakdown and I can't quit you baby. The standard version does not have any breaks/pauses between these particular tracks. This album continues to grow in value and scarcity as time passes. This particular LP has STA-681461-PR-2S A2 as the matrix number stamped in the dead wax, on side one. Side two of the LP has STA 681462PR 3S stamped on the dead wax. The vinyl is in Very Good condition. The LP has some hairline scratches and paper scuffs on each side. Side one also has a slightly deeper scratch that goes through half of track two. Side two has two slightly deeper scratches as well. The first scratch goes through three quarters of track four and one quarter of track five. The second deeper scratch goes through half of track five. The blemishes do have an affect on the playback. The blemishes cause some background noise and pops. The pops and noises are more noticeable between tracks and quieter tracks. The noise can also be heard at the very beginning and end of each side. The LP labels are very clean with only a few faint spindle marks on each side. This vinyl also includes the original Atlantic company inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is in great condition. The LP cover is in Excellent Condition. The album cover has just the slightest hint of ring wear on both sides. The seams and spine all have an extremely light amount of wear. The spine is very crisp and completely legible. None of the seams are split. The corners all have some very slight rounding. The front of the cover has some very light fading and also a very small stain near the the N in Led Zeppelin. The back of the cover has some very light fading as well and a small crease above the second p in Led Zeppelin. The bottom left corner has a very small crease and the top right corner has a small crease as well. This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve. The album jacket will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve. The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts. The LP will be positioned outside of the jacket when shipped. This album is ready for playing or storage. Please let me know if you have any questions. I do not ship outside of the United States. I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins. Please bid with confidence.
