Description

This item is a rare DJ white label mono promotional LP by Led Zeppelin entitled 'Led Zeppelin III'. Record label and number is Atlantic 7201. This LP was released in 1970 long after mono LP's were done away with. These mono promo LP's were mainly sent to AM radio stations that broadcast in mono and contain mono mixes that are exclusive to these pressings. Stereo copies were sent to FM stations. Cover is in great condition with no seam splits and very slight ring wear on the back cover. Spine of cover also has very slight wear. All corners are fine except for top left corner which has some minor wear. Mono DJ sticker and song sticker on the front of the LP cover. Record labels are in fantastic condition with no writing or DJ markings and are very clean. Record itself is in fair condition with many visible hairline scratches. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the record between a 4 and a 5. Record was cleaned on a VPI record cleaning machine and still has good luster. Four songs have skips; three slight (when played on my Denon turntable) and one more extensive (in three places) see below. All other songs play through fine. All the songs have some surface noise but the LP is still very listenable. I'm starting the auction at a low price and no reserve to make up for these defects. Anyone that collects Led Zeppelin knows how rare these mono promo LP's are. Songs are:
