Here it is...!

A absolutely superb UK 1st pressing of the second Led Zeppelin LP. A real first pressing - Light brown sleeve. 'Plum' labels. Lemon Song label and sleeve credits. 'Livin' Lovin' Wreck label misprint.

Original light brown first pressing gatefold sleeve. These are very different to all later sleeves. The printing is noticably a much lighter brown colour. Contrary to the information in the latest issue of the Record Collector Price Guide, however, these original UK sleeves DO NOT have a 'blue-green edge'. This is just sheer nonsense and I have big 'issues' with this publisher for making such a stupid mistake without checking their facts. - The truth of this is very simple: The original light brown ink used in the manufacture of these sleeves fades if exposed to direct sunlight to a blue-green colour over time. It really is a simple as that!

On my copy (bought on the first day of release) the spine (and only the spine) is beginning to show a slight discolouration from where it has been stored on a shelf for the last 35 years. The spine has gone a very slight blue-green colour but the rest of the sleeve is just one shade of light brown. So don't start agonising if your original copy of this LP doesn't have a blue-green edge. It was never supposed to!!!

So... Original first pressing E.J. Day gatefold sleeve with light brown printing, original Atlantic catalogue numbers and 'Lemon Song' sleeve credit.

These sleeves are very fragile and prone to wear. This one is in superb near mint condition with just a very small amount of storage wear and some very, very minor scuffing to the corners. There is virtually no ringwear and no splits, tears, rips, sticker marks or writing. The spine is complete and near perfect. The inner gatefold is totally mint and as new. - These sleeves are always, always trashed. The printing used on these first issue sleeves is just impossible to maintain in pristine condition. This is the best example I have ever seen. You will not see better!

Original first pressing LP with 'plum' Atlantic labels and with Lemon Song credit to Side One. This copy also has the extremely rare 'Livin' Lovin' Wreck (She's A Woman) miscredit to the Side Two label. (In order to redress the balance somewhat, I must give credit to Record Collector for unearthing this curiosity).

Both labels are absolutely perfect, mint and as new except for jut a few very small, light spindle marks.

A2 / B2 matrix numbers (was there ever an A1 B1 stock copy of this LP or was that matrix reserved for test pressings?)

This LP has only been played three or four times since new and is in staggering very near mint condition - Totally perfect except for just a few extremely light surface marks and one slightly (that's slightly) heavier mark which does not sound at all.

You will NEVER see a better first pressing. Totally superb!

The sound quality of this LP is just staggering too!
