Description

LED ZEPPELIN II - Atlantic Records - SD 8236 - original 1969 Robert Ludwig pressing.  I was surprised at how good this sounds compared to other mixes. This is THE  legendary "hot mix" pressing done by Robert Ludwig. His initials "RL" are etched in the dead wax on side 1 and on side 2  along with SS for Sterling Sound. Considered by many folks as the BEST MIX EVER.  It was re-mastered  shortly after release because most cartridges couldn't handle the loudness, causing the LP to skip and causing many returns of the "defective" LP.

"1841 Broadway" address on label.  Dead wax is very narrow on side 2 and moderately narrow on side 1. Original Atlantic inner sleeve. No tape on either.

Graded conservatively:

Jacket Grade: VG - Light wear to outer gate fold cover, name or initials in lower right front. White areas discolored by age/wear. Inside is VG++.  Center seam intact. Some edge wear to lower seam. No splits.

Record Grade: VG - A few light surface scratches that don't seem to affect play. I did not clean this record but it plays nice as is - light surface noise in quiet passages. Some pops in the low passages. Is it still magnificent? Yes!  Should sound even better when properly cleaned with a VPI machine or your method of choice.

Ships with outer album jacket poly sleeve. Inner MSFL sleeve to house record. Ships to lower 48 US States only.  See Photos for additional details. Sold as is.
