Collector's Note: This is the genuine first pressing with Robert Ludwig’s famous "hot" mastering on both sides. Known for its incredible low-end and raw power, this version was quickly withdrawn from the market, making it one of the most sought-after records in rock history.

Vinyl Condition (Play Tested)

This record has been professionally wet cleaned and vacuumed to ensure the best possible playback for its condition.

Waxwing Playback Analysis:

• Grade Range: A+ to C+ (Average: C+)

• Note on Grading: This is an incredibly "hot" cut. During testing via the Parks Audio Waxwing, the gain had to be lowered significantly to prevent clipping. Because of the aggressive nature of the RL mastering, automated grading can be difficult; however, it delivers a powerful, "hot" sound that remains highly enjoyable.

• Playback Experience: This is a VERY good listener’s copy. It plays through with no skips. There is light surface noise present during the lead-ins and in the quieter passages between songs, but the sheer volume of the music on this cut tends to overpower the noise once the tracks get moving.

Visual notes:

• Condition: VG. The vinyl shows some scuffs and scratches, but none are "feelable" or deep enough to cause skipping.

• Labels: Good condition with good color. Note that Side 2 has some pen marks in the upper-left area (see photos for detail).

• Protection: The record has been placed in a high-quality 3mil Vinyl Storage Solution (VSS) inner sleeve.

Jacket / Sleeve Condition

• Grade: VG (potentially VG+). I prefer to grade conservatively to ensure the buyer is satisfied.
