Description
Led Zeppelin 2. Early pressing orange and plum Atlantic label. The labels feature “Killing floor”, “Thank You”, and “Livin’ Loving Maid” song titles; but with “The Lemon Song” misprint (instead of killing floor) on the sleeve. A detailed description follows:
Sleeve: Good +
Original gatefold sleeve is full of character. There is sellotape in a couple of places, some of which has been removed and torn the surface layer off in two places. General signs wear and tear but no majors rips and no writing. A sleeve that has been well used and loved during it’s 52 year life time.
Inners: Good +
Original white inner. Slight discolouration and a small rip at the bottom. Also included is a new, anti-static inner sleeve which the record is stored within.
Disc: Good +
A really enjoyable record to listen to. Plenty of hairlines scratches which result in a consistent background crackle but which does not detract from the listening experience. Individual components of the recording; vocals, percussion, guitar, have remarkable clarity and very little distortion throughout. There are a couple of pops due to heavier scratches on both sides, but nothing which takes your ear away from the music.
If you want a mint record this probably isn’t the one for you, but if you want an original pressing that has been played and enjoyed for all its life then this is a great copy. I’ve always enjoyed listening to it an I’m sure you will too.
The record will be sent in a polythene outer sleeve within a padded vinyl mailer.
