Description

A true “grail” for rock vinyl collectors. For sale is a true UK first pressing of Led Zeppelin’s debut self-titled album, released in the UK in 1969. The record features iconic turquoise lettering exclusive to the very first print run before the lettering was changed on future pressings to orange. Want to own a piece of music history? This is it. The G+/VG vinyl still sounds incredibly detailed and punchy and this pressing remains the best way to experience this album (see video). There is still scuffs and scratches and the occasional pop with one larger scuff towards the end of side one (see photos). The cover, while still beautiful and vibrant in color, is heavily worn with consistent edge wear, edge discoloration, and sections where the laminate is separating from the cardboard cover (see photos). However, the iconic artwork is still vibrant and in display-worthy condition. A fine example of one of the rarest and most sought-after records in rock history with very few examples left in the wild for collectors to own. Includes a mobile fidelity inner and outer sleeve to protect the timeless vinyl inside. Enjoy!
