For your bidding pleasure: Led Zeppelin "Houses of the Holy" White Label Promo in MONO! Super rare and very hard to find. Very few were issued to radio stations. This would represent the last of the Led Zeppelin catalog to be issued in both Mono and with a White Label. This particular record bears matrix#'s "A-14259-A STERLING RL" on Side One and "A-14260-A STERLING RL" on Side Two. And now for the bad news... The cover is in okay visual shape but suffers from warping probably due to being exposed to moisture of some kind. However there is no evidence of mold or discoloration. In addition, there are some bends and creases. There are no seam splits, but there is some wear on the top, looking like it's about to split. It's difficult to represent the cover warping in the pictures, but it's evident when you're holding it in your hand. You can get a better idea from the pictures of the inner sleeve. The record itself is not warped. It has some scratches and wear but does not skip at all. It plays nicely with its fair share of snap, crackle and occasional pops (The worst being for a few seconds of D'YER MAK'ER). In all I would grade the cover G+ (due to warping) and the record VG- (a subjective grading to be sure.) Here's an opportunity to pick up a super rare piece of Led Zeppelin history. Remember this is not simply a combination of the stereo image, rather it is an entirely new and different mix unavailable and unreleased anywhere else. It was intended for AM radio play and rumors are that there's no more than 50 in existence. I'm starting the opening bid in accordance with it's condition. Good luck and happy bidding!
