Description

An original Q1 1972 copy of Zep IV on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A3/B4. Etcing 'Pecko Duck'. Please note that in the deadwax you will find both the new Kinney catalogue details and in addition the original Red & Plum details [2401012]. This pressing gives the clued up buyer an ideal opportunity to bag a very early copy with the same audio credentials of the super collectable ZepIV red & plum copies without spending a fortune. Please note the labels also hold the 'Misty Mountain Top' typo error. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. There's also the original grey lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A real beauty that has clearly been looked after and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I couldn't make out more than a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. A nigh on perfect rendition the buyer will be able to hear Zep IV for the first time with a superb level of fidelity. Beautiful clean audio with fantastic resolution and clarity. Interference is pretty much non-existent. Expect nothing more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side [e.g. just a couple in California]. Even those fussy acoustic tracks at the end of side 1 play really clean. It's a top copy and if this album is one of your favourites...you owe it to yourself to hear it PROPERLY...with top level fidelity.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Back and front are both clean and unaged without the surface wear you typically find on this title. The interior looks great no issues at all. Edge wear is light and the spine is full intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) Nigh on perfect. No wear. No splits. No ageing. A beaut!
