Description
This is the Robert Ludwig “hot mix” pressing which was withdrawn early because of the heavy bass levels.
This copy is far from perfect mainly due to an unplayable portion of the track ‘Whole lotta love.’ It is during the middle “psychedelic” section where it is heavily scratched - you will only be able to play it from after this point onwards - take a look at the last couple of photos as you can see it on the record.
There are multiple hairlines on both sides which do not affect playback whatsoever & considering what it looks like & the unfortunate damage during the first track - apart from that it plays through excellent with some crackle here & there so overall I’ll rate this as VG+
The cover is also not perfect as it has some edge wear & a spine split & discolouration…again zoom in for a closer inspection at the photos provided.
In saying that, this is a super rare & highly sought after “Monarch” pressing which is considered the best from all the pressing plants from which this album was manufactured. The matrix is what you want to see with this pressing with the RL SS being on both sides.
