Description

An original 1st press of Zep II on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B2. Please note 1st issue is dictated by this matrix and the 'Lemon Song' being mentioned on the label. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an early light-brown cover printed by Ernest J Day. Also included is an original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine an 100% original.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [literally]. Yes, it really is that good. I have only auditioned a couple of Zep II's at this level and they are not an easy find. The audio from a well preserved copy like this is top-level and it will see off the competition from EVERY other version in existence. FINAL UPGRADE. Please note there is very light foxing on the side 2 label.
Cover (Ex) Zep II covers are famously difficult to find in decent condition. This example has survived the years in well above average condition. The front is free of the usual wear and tear and there's a touch of the lightest foxing just visible in the white area. A touch more handling wear noticeable on the rear, but still in great condition. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is very light and the text is all visible on the spine - which is a difficult find. Overall the cover retains prefect rigidity and lies totally flat. A fantastic example of the true 1st issue cover.
Inner (Ex) Lightest of ageing. No splits or markings.
