Up for auction is an extremely rare original 1969 first pressing record given to the record stores to promote Led Zeppelin's very first Lp.This Promo Lp has 4 songs from Led Zeppelin's first Lp and on the other side 4 songs by Dusty Springfields Lp titled Dusty In Memphis.This Lp was distributed to the record stores exactly when Zeps first Lp came out or shortly before so customers inside the store could hear it playing over the store's record player speakers.They thought if people heard the record before buying it they would definately buy there own copy of the Lp.It probably worked.The white label promo Lp has Atlantic label # TL-ST-135 on both sides which is the record #.The Led Zeppelin side says Excerpts From SD-8216 which is Led Zeppelin's first album #.The songs on The Led Zeppelin side are as follows.Song 1/Good Times Bad Times 2/Babe I'm Gonna Leave You 3/Your Time Is Gonna Come 4/Communication Breakdown.The song titles on the Dusty Springfield side are 1/Son Of A Preacher Man 2/I Don't Want To 3/Breakfast In Bed 4/Windmills of your Mind.A Very neat thing about this record is before each Led Zeppelin song there is a man's voice that appears and has a short advertisement of each song before play.Also has same voice on Dusty Springfield side.For example before the Led Zeppelin song Your Time Is Gonna Come the man's voice says The Led Zeppelin will Take You On A Trip You Will Never Forget.Then the song begins to play.Fabulous and rare record.It raks # 9 on the top 50 Rarest Led Zeppelin records in the world.You can check this by typing in the top 50th Rarest Led Zeppelin Records.It's also the 3rd rarest U.S. Zeppelin record as most are U.K. and foreign records.The record never had a conventional cover according to my research.It came originally in a plain cardboard black colored sleeve.I do not have the Black colored sleeve but I do have the record.The Led Zeppelin side of the record has very light and light scratches with 4 I can lightly feel with fingernail.Also has some groove wear and 3 to 4 groove wear lines following the grooves near beginning of record.You can see these in the picture I have taken.Record label in beautiful condition with only a very small extremely light fingerpring in right top side of label see picture.The Dusty Springfield side has very light to light scratches with 1 I can lightly feel with fingernail.Also has some groove wear and a few groove wear lines.Record label very nice with a few extremely small brown dots see picture.This record would be an amazing addition for a Led Zeppelin record collector.If the buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund policy on all records I sell.Buyer to pay $4.00 shipping anywhere in the U.S.
