Last Straws/Quirk Tuff OZ/Garage/Beat Scope 1st Issue 1966.
Terrific copy for your consideration of the Last Straws first 45 rpm release from June 1966 on the now highly collectable Scope label.
I Can’t Stop Loving You, Baby/A Woman of Gradual Decline a great double sided single. Both tracks penned by members Phil Quirk, Steve Morrice (Steve does superb vocals to both songs) the third writer I’m assuming is none other than Dr Geoff Edelsten….obviously does not say Doctor on the disc. I stand corrected of course.
Vinyl assessment EX + (Ultra light surface swirls NOT hairlines or scuffs!!) A test spin glean a clean vibrant full bodied sound EX+++.
Both labels perfect. Disc housed in original Astor paper sleeve. I certainly did not purchase record in this sleeve. Typically all GO!! and Scope 45’s I bought in the sixties came in white sleeves. However that aside, Astor did manufacture Scope and this Astor Company sleeve is not of regular colour, and a nice bonus to the purchase.
