Description

Straight from Venezuela comes this funky oddity. It seems as if this unit was a made-for-t.v. ensemble that somehow managed to get away with playing beyond the mainstream. The material is predominantly cover-versions of classics by Gamble & Huff, Jimmy Cliff, Jim Peterik, etc. However, the catch is the playing is amazingly raw and groovy. Some serious dancefloor tracks replete with crunchy brass, heavy bass, and snappy drumming. The bases are covered on this one; latin ballads, soul anthems, funk numbers, and even a dubbed out reggae cover. Heavy reccomendation on "Vehiculo" (get asked about it alot when I play it out) a serious groovy, psych-tinged funk cut. Do the do, latin soul stew.

Cover/Record Condition: EX-(some mild seam splitting)/EX+++(basically mint except for one or two tiny marks)
