Description
Up for auction is one of the rarest Rockabilly records known. Original pressing of Larry Donn's first 45 on Vaden, number 45-113 recorded when he was a teenager from Bono, Arkansas. Rockin' Records prices this record at $2000-2500. Popsike.com doesn't list one as having sold and they have been online for several years. So that gives you an idea of the rarity. Most so-called rare records appear on their site as having sold many times in the last 5 years, to give you an example. Condition of vinyl is VG- with some sheen. I took several pictures with unflattering lighting to give you an idea of the true condition. Labels have soil and ring wear. Record plays through both sides without skipping. There is some background crackle, but the record plays with good fidelity. Very enjoyable. If you haven't heard the song, it is great primitive teenage rockabilly with a relentless, driving backbeat and great guitar work. The B-side is also great and was recorded at Sun Studio in nearby Memphis. A very scarce record. Careful shipping is $5.00 domestic, $12.50 foreign.
