I decided to sell some off my personal collection. At the time of each listing, I am giving a listen to both sides (testing) and add a bit of the listening details you just can’t see in pictures. Nothing worse than putting out money and hearing a nasty skip when you get a chance to give it a spin. This is what my main focus is going to be. I’m also happy to provide more pics upon request and answer any questions. I’m not a pro, I do most research on Discogs and sometimes I still don’t understand what exact pressing or from what plant my copy is from.
Playability and sound quality with minimal surface noises are the best attributes here, secondly I’d say the fact that this is a promo asking disc jockeys to test it out “before” air play. It’s David Bowie, he needs no audition. Any ways where was I?. The cover boasts that large promo sticker, from cover also presents well either no major eye distractions. Other wear includes creases, dinged/soft corners, light scuffs and scratches. Staining around sticker. Back cover is really ugly. Something left a stain and it has had a battle with moisture at least once. I can’t speak for any of the damage that exists. I’ve always treated it like gold. Inside centerfold of Bowie is gently aged and frame worthy. The original inner sleeve has wrinkles and creases as well as split sides. The bottom appears to be close to splitting but hasn’t yet. No stains or writing
Label side one has a few stains nicer vinyl visually. Dated 1973 on the orange label. Discogs points me to a 1976 repress promo. Side 2 the label is much cleaner but there is a moderate amount of small scratches. Play’s without skipping or piping. Mild to moderate surface noises overall if you can even focus on them while listening to this cool album.
