For Sale is the rare Silkie record by Frock. Only 250 copies were ever pressed, of which only a limited amount have resurfaced on the collector's market. What makes this copy even more unique is that it has been signed by Andy Allan, the bands violinist, on the reverse of the sleeve.
The record is in perfect condition, and has hardly been played. The sleeve is slightly stained around the edges, and the glue has come unstuck down one side, but please bear in mind this record is nearly 35 years old.
The record features in Hans Pokora's 4001 record collector dreams with a massive 5 discs on the rarity scale.
A review by the "Galactic Ramble" has described Silkie as "the pinnacle of electric folk albums".
We are extremely grateful for this fantastic item to have been donated to us, it will provide vital funds to ensure we can continue to provide free palliative care services to the local community in Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding villages.
It costs a staggering £3million a year to run the Hospice, of which only 19% is funded by the NHS. It is only with the generous support of the local community that we can continue to provide our services. The £3 million raised will support over 1,300 people with the vital care and support they need to enable them to live every last moment of their lives to the full. Hospicecare is about adding life to days even when days cannot be added to lives. Our services include a 10 bed In-patient-Unit, Community Nurse Team and a Day Hospice.
