Michael Palmer: Star performer

 

Released in the UK on Tonos TONLP 001 in 1983. Backing band the

ROOTS RADICS. Recording Studio: Channel One. Produced by Andrew

and Tony Connell. This is one of Michael’s best recordings.

Side 1:

Star performer; Give me your love; Long run short ketch; Bad company; Now is

the time.

Side 2:

True reality; If Margaret were mine; Problem baby; Gowna school; Jah is on my

Mind.

Record and sleeve are in Excellent condition. Small writing on the back of the

sleeve: 3 little crosses to indicate the best tracks of the record. (see grading

system and image of label and sleeve below)

RECORD COLLECTOR’S GRADING SYSTEM

MINT (M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioriation in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Recods advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX)The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG)The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surfacemarks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G)The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some destortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F)The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surfacenoise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or defaced.

POOR (P)The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B)The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler.

Grading can be fine tuned by adding + or -.
