I decided to sell some off my personal collection. At the time of each listing, I am giving a listen to both sides (testing) and add a bit of the listening details you just can’t see in pictures. Nothing worse than putting out money and hearing a nasty skip when you get a chance to give it a spin. This is what my main focus is going to be. I’m also happy to provide more pics upon request and answer any questions. I’m not a pro, I do most research on Discogs and sometimes I still don’t understand what exact pressing or from what plant my copy is from.

Found this copy over 20 years ago at a flea market. It was in a pile of coverless vinyl. I had to save it and I only bought it cause it was a dollar and I didn’t care about the cover. I found out later when I got home that it was in fact a real early original pressings of Meet The Beatles. I’ve heard/read they produced about 2000 copies when they caught the error of having no BMI or ASCAP credits after each song title on both sides. It was soon corrected and the new labels would forever after note the credits going forward with every other copy made. Because it had no cover when I found it, a friend that I know who collects Beatles records told me that the sleeve and jacket were never changed due to this error and only the labels got the update. He told me to invest in another copy of the album , in stereo of course and simply switch the vinyl. So I did that. A decent cover with no splitting, protected by the shrink attached and a solid inner sleeve too. I just wanted to be clear about what I’m selling here. The vinyl plays through without skipping. It has surface scratches and some ugly scuffing on side 2 song 6, but it plays right through. It’s not pretty to look at, however it doesn’t sound all that bad. It does crackle and there are some pops too. It plays with a consistent static sound but well behind the music. For its historical value and the fact it plays through, I think it would fit in anyone’s collection. It’s low grade and the only one I have ever encountered in the wild. Hard to even think I’m putting it up for sale.
