Larry Marshall: Presenting

Released in Jamaica around 1973 on Studio One. The record was produced by Clement “Coxsone” Dodd. The record itself is a classic, but this release is a special one and absolutely VERY RARE.Matrix number: CN-LM 3149. I have never seen it anywhere else. It is an original release in a very special sleeve.  The cover (see below) is a bit silky, a very unique design. The pink background has little silver spots in it. 

Real Studio One ART!

On the sleeve is another tracklist than on the record.  It was released this way. So it isn’t the wrong cover. Look below at the excerpt from the Studio One album discography.

Sleeve and record are in Excellent  condition, but as all S.O.collectors know, Studio One pressings, don’t match European or US standards. So here and there you hear some crackling caused by pressing and vinyl. Apart from that this is one of the better Studio One pressings. The sound is very good, much more dynamic and warm than the 1984 US re-release. (See grading system and image of front and back side of sleeve below)

RECORD COLLECTOR’S GRADING SYSTEM

MINT (M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioriation in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Recods advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX)The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG)The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surfacemarks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G)The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some destortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F)The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surfacenoise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or defaced.

POOR (P)The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
