Description
Very rare Zeppelin promo that introduces the band as well as their debut album Zeppelin 1.
During the Memphis sessions in November 1968, Dusty suggested to the heads of Atlantic Records to sign the newly formed Led Zeppelin.
She knew the band's bass player John Paul Jones, who had backed her in concerts before. Without having ever seen them and largely on Dusty's advice, the record company signed a deal of $200,000 with them. For the time being, that was the biggest deal of its kind for a new band.
And likely why we have Dusty on Side one.

This copy is all original and all components are signed in pen by a Marty S. Also note that someone has vandalized Dusty by drawing glasses and a mustache on her image on the cover. The inner sleeve is nice with no breakthrough or tears. The cover is also free of any signs of breaking along the edges. A small 1/2” split at bottom right front corner does exist. The vinyl itself exhibits light scuffs but it plays well, light typical noise you’d expect, but no popping or skipping. Research will help in determining value and rarity.
