Was bedeuten die Kürzel M, NM, EX, VG etc.?

Durch diese Kürzel kann der Zustand der Schallplatte und des Covers (Schallplattenhülle) bewertet werden. Durch "+" oder "-" kann die Qualität der Platte oder des Covers treffender bewertet werden. Diese Kürzel (M, NM etc.) dienen jedoch nur der Orientierung und sind nicht als eine Art allgemeingültiges Qualitätssiegel zu verstehen, da die Bewertung des Zustandes einer Vinyl/Cover überwiegend auf Subjektivität basiert (außer bei absoluter Neuware). Dadurch können die Meinungen manchmal auseinanderliegen. Generische Cover und CD Cases ziehe ich nicht in die Bewertung mit ein, da diese problemlos ersetzt werden können.

Die ebay-Angaben zum Artikelzustand unterhalb des Titels beziehen sich ausschliesslich auf den Tonträger (Vinyl/Schallplatte/CD). Das ist aber sehr generisch, da eBay eine andere Logik für den Artikelzustand verwendet. Deshalb orientiert euch bitte nach meinen Zustands-Angaben die Ihr unter den Artikelmerkmalen findet. Meine Bewertung erfolg nach folgender Logik. In den Artikelmerkmalen findet Ihr den Artikelzustand z.B. VG+/M d.h. die Vinyl ist mit VG+ bewertet und das Cover mit M. Eine Erklärung der einzelnen Kürzel findet Ihr gleich hier:

Die Platte wurde noch nie abgespielt.

In jeglicher Hinsicht neuwertig oder wirklich neu.

Eine NM Platte wurde mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit selten abgespielt. Die Platte hat keine Gebrauchsspuren, d.h. kaum hörbare Haarkratzer. Das Cover hat leichte Knicke und kann an den Kanten leicht abgenutzt sein. Das selbe gilt auch für jegliche Beilagen wie Poster, bedruckte Innenhüllen usw.

VINYL: Es können ein paar kleine sichtbare und auch (fast nicht) hörbare Gebrauchsspuren zu finden sein, aber sehr geringfügig.
COVER: Beschädigte Ecken und Kanten können vorkommen, aber niemals in extremem Maße.

Die Platte ist gespielt und weist leichte Fremdgeräusche auf. Haarkratzer sind vorhanden. Das Cover weist leichte Abnutzungserscheinungen auf.

Die Vinyl und das Cover haben Gebrauchsspuren, d.h. die Platte wurde oft abgespielt und hat hörbare Haarkratzer. Beim Abspielen können Oberflächengeräusche hörbar sein, die die Musik ansonsten jedoch nicht übertönen. Das Cover kann Knicke haben und an den Kanten abgenutzt sein. Die Labels können durch Beschriftungen, Aufkleber oder Klebeband (bzw. entsprechende Reste) in Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden sein. Dasselbe gilt für Bildhüllen oder LP-Cover.

Anmerkung: Die Schallplatten die ich zum Verkauf anbiete sind gewaschen (Digital Ultrasonic) anschließend antistatisch behandelt und gereinigt.

• woc (writing on cover) - Das Cover ist beschriftet (z.B. mit Kugelschreiber)
• wol (writing on label) - Das Label ist beschriftet (z.B. mit Kugelschreiber)
• sol (sticker on label) - Aufkleber auf dem Label
• ss (still sealed) - original verschweißt
• ois (original inner sleeve) - original Innenhülle
• generic - neutrales Cover

Falls Du mit dem Artikel nicht zufrieden sein solltest:

What do the abbreviations M, NM, EX, VG etc. mean?

These abbreviations can be used to assess the condition of the record and the cover. By using "+" or "-" the quality of the record or cover can be evaluated more accurately. However, these abbreviations (M, NM etc.) are only for orientation and should not be understood as a kind of generally valid quality seal, as the assessment of the condition of a vinyl/cover is mainly based on subjectivity (except in the case of absolutely new records). Therefore opinions can sometimes differ. I do not include generic covers and CD cases in the evaluation, because they can be replaced without any problems.

The ebay information about the condition of the item below the title refers exclusively to the sound carrier (vinyl/recording/CD). But this is very generic, because eBay uses a different logic for the item condition. Therefore please orientate according to my information on the condition which you can find under the item characteristics. My evaluation is based on the following logic. In the item characteristics you will find the item condition e.g. VG+/M i.e. the vinyl is rated VG+ and the cover is rated M. An explanation of the individual abbreviations can be found here:

Vinyl was never played.

In every respect as good as new or really new.

An NM record was most likely rarely played. The record has no traces of use, i.e. hardly audible hair scratches. The cover has slight creases and may be slightly worn at the edges. The same applies to any inserts like posters, printed inner covers etc.

VINYL: There may be a few small visible and also (almost) inaudible traces of use, but very slight.
COVER: Damaged corners and edges may occur, but never to an extreme degree.

The record is played and has slight foreign noises. Hair scratches are present. The cover shows slight signs of wear.

The vinyl and the cover have traces of use, i.e. the record has been played often and has audible hair scratches. When playing, surface noises may be audible but they do not disturb the music. The cover may have creases and be worn at the edges. Labels may have been damaged by lettering, stickers or adhesive tape (or corresponding remnants). The same applies to picture covers or LP covers.

The records I offer are usually washed (Digital Ultrasonic), then antistatically treated and cleaned.
