Based in London, the duo of Nina Saeidi and Shem Lucas are the masterminds behind Lowen, a progressive doom metal trip through the history of the ancient middle-east and (naturally) the deep expanses of space. Their form of comic doom metal is bolstered by Saeidi's authentic and soaring vocals, marrying disparate elements of Persian music with gargantuan doomgazing, coalescing cultural and ethnic motifs into one of the most uniquely gratifying metallic sonic excursions of 2024.
