After goth rock/post punk pioneers Bauhaus broke up in 1983, the band went in a couple of different directions. Singer Peter Murphy went solo, and released several stellar albums. Two band members formed Tones on Tail. Then in 1985, the band members, (minus Peter Murphy), formed Love and Rockets. Out of all of the various projects formed after Bauhaus, Love and Rockets was, by far, the most successful!
The band released their debut album in '85, and titled it 'Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven'. The band was to release a non-album track called "Ball of Confusion", shortly thereafter. (That song is a Motown hit, and originally made famous by The Temptations.) The track came out on expanded reissues of the first two albums.
In 1989, Love and Rockets released their self-titled album, complete with mind blowing album cover art. I'm serious, check it out. But be careful, as looking at it could cause seizures! Lol It's definitely trippy! That album gave the world the big hit "So Alive". In today's rockin' good deal, you'll get that self-titled album, the 12" for "Ball of Confusion", and a CD single for the track "Holy Fool", (that also comes with a special 7:49 minute long mix of "So Alive"!)
The LP looks amazing, and the vinyl is still all shiny and clean! The jacket is in fantastic condition, and would look great hanging on the wall, or in a record frame. The 12" is a promo only collectible, sent to radio stations and record stores. It has the 7" mix, the 12" mix, and the US mix on it, as well as a fourth track. The fourth track, "All in My Mind", is actually the third single release from 1986's Love and Rockets album 'Express'. The vinyl looks really good, and only has one or two very light surface marks on it. Nothing that affects sound. Jacket in extremely good condition, and comes with a hype sticker on it. CD single is FOUR mixes of "Holy Fool" along with that remix of "So Alive", and the disc itself is in awesome shape, and the sleeve is, as well!
