Early United States Mono pressing of this vinyl record album. The copy we are offering here is on the “33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing” label with the address of New York USA” on both sides. Both sides of the dead wax have the “RVG” stamp and “The Ear” marking. The address on the back cover is “43 West 61st St., New York 23”. Comes with its original Blue Note Records company inner sleeve.
The recording features Lou Donaldson on alto sax, Herman Foster on piano, Ben Tucker on bass, Dave Bailey on drums, and Alec Dorsey on conga.
COVER: The cover is overall very well preserved. It has some light surface wear on the front but the color is still sharp and vivid. The back a small amount of light wear and a name stamped on it twice. There is a small crease in the top left corner and a bit of paper chipping off the top left spine and top left corner in this area. The only thing keeping this jacket from grading a very nice VG+ is a less than 1 inch top right seam split.
VINYL: The record is pressed on the thick vinyl that Blue Note used back in the day. The only thing keeping it from grading a solid VG+ is two thin scratches on Side 1, one measuring about 1 inch, the other about 1 1/2 inch, that can just lightly be felt on the grooves. These were the only two marks on either side that we noticed could be felt. Both record labels have a name stamped on them.

All of our LP's are shipped in sturdy cardboard LP mailers with appropriate padding.
With the exception of sealed LP's, all LP's are removed from their outer sleeves to prevent seam splitting. Upon request, we will give your sealed LP's the same treatment.
All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, The Great Escape gives an "overall presentation" grade; we do not give a "listening" grade. Our vinyl listings are supplemented when necessary with additional remarks. For example: where some dealers will not allow a cut corner on an otherwise near mint jacket (often automatically relegating it to a VG+ at best), we may grade such a record as NM and note the cut-out mark (thereby letting you know what it "really" looks like: a near-perfect record with a cut corner). LPs are graded cover first, followed by the grade for the vinyl.
