Description
Lord Sitar is corporately created sitar pop-rock, made in order to cash in on the success/popularity of George Harrison’s sitar meanderings. So the big wigs got together some session musicians, featuring Big Jim Sullivan on the sitar, to record this. The result is an absolute blast: fun lounge instrumental rock with lead sitar, organ, and some bumblebee fuzz. Covers of the “hip” songs of the day, including three Beatles covers. Song titles:

Released in the U.S. on Capitol Records in 1968, this a very rare LP and this copy is a beauty: it’s still in the shrink wrap and the cover and record are in MINT condition.
