Description

LONDON PHASE-4 DEMO LP –
SPD-7 –
TERRIFIC! –
Factory Sealed

In the annals of stereo reproduction on LP, the 1970’s releases on Phase-4 from London are some of the most “upclose and personal” recordings available. Which is to say, if you are into the classical selections here, they sound as if you are standing on the podium.

This demonstration LP offers up Charles Munch playing CAN-CAN from “Gaite Parisienne,” Stokowski delivers SWAN THEME from “Sleeping Beauty,” and The D’Oyly Carte performs I AM THE CAPTAIN OF THE PINAFORE from the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta.

Also here, BEER BARREL POLKA, a sing-along from VAUDEVILLE!, STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER, and AUTUMN LEAVES by Ronnie Aldrich on piano.

Fabulous fare, all recorded up-close with multi-mic setups, here factory sealed.

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
