English progressive rock band "Lodestone" from 1971, was their only LP and is incredibly rare

"OK Mickey, heres the lowdown. First guy on the left is me (best photo ever) I had recently returned from a tour of Sicily and Italy with Soul outfit Herbie Goins and the Nightimers. I was o...f course ex Cymbaline and Infinity. The next guy is Gerry Morris, ex-Cymbaline. He had been a guitarist with the 'line but played bass on the album. Then its John Hollis again ex 'line. He wasn't really suitable but entered whole-heartedly into the gig and contributed quite well. Next it's John DaCosta ex Infinity and Flies he made a huge contribution both on keyboards and writing. Finally the guy on the right is Pete Higgs a pretty good guitarist who actually joined the band after the album was in the can. I discovered him working for my Dad! He did play on some later stuff we did.
The album could have been better, we all played guitar on different tracks. The people we needed of course were Stu Calver and Brian but Stu was doing something else at the time and Brian and I were going through one of our" never going to speak to him again" phases which seems so crazy now. We used students from the Royal College of Music for the orchestral parts (which I did write). There were some moments when it all came together when you could feel the hairs on the back of your neck go up! It was along time ago but in some ways I'm still proud of it.
