Little Roy's debut album finally resurfaces, bringing to light a powerful piece of reggae history originally released in 1975 on Munchie Jackson's Aires label, an affiliate of Wackies. Opening with the politically charged title track, it's an unflinching take on the turmoil in Kingston, moving seamlessly through singles like 'Mr T' and 'Blackbird,' each track an essential cut. Tracks such as 'Your Cup Is Flowing' and 'Old Man'ithe latter rooted in the same rhythm as Horace Andy's 'Ain't No Sunshine'idemonstrate Roy's depth as a vocalist. This long-overdue reissue is a rare gem, presenting a crucial chapter in reggae's golden age.
