PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
CRAZY RARE original mono pressing from July 1958 on Specialty's black & gold label with I'll Never Let You Go (Boo Hoo Hoo Hoo) listed as the fourth song on side 1 on the label and cover and "Natural Sound" (i.e. mono) under the Specialty logo on the cover and label!!! LP is VG/VG+ with a small scuff on Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey. Cover is VG with some wear on the spine. This LP set the world ablaze when it was released to an unsuspecting public and launched a million careers in music in the process. Consider the musical landscape in 1958 and the reality of how far ahead of his time Little Richard was really starts to come into focus. Sure there was Elvis but NO ONE tore it up like Mr. Penniman or hollered and screamed with the same unmistakably authentic primal ferociousness. His first two LPs are the true roots of heavy metal. This is absolutely essential listening.
