Description

LITTLE RICHARD - Little Richard (self-titled) LP

1958 Specialty Records 2103 / USA // mono


Original US issue. Heavy cardboard jacket, heavy deep groove “natural sound” pressing;


Record is in VG condition :  surface scuffs/ hairlines, nice gloss, no deep scratches, nicks or gouges, spindle marks. Plays through with some surface noise, still enjoyable.

Cover is in VG+/ ++ condition : heavy stock 1st US edition — front and back covers are stunning — front is vivid, full gloss with the faintest beginnings of ring wear. Two small pinholes at top right corner (looks like maybe a staple, goes through to the back. Light to moderate corner wear. Moderate wear at top seam, beginnings of a split at center. Bottom seam shows faint.  wear, no splits, beginnings of a split (.75”) at opening, bottom corner. Minimal signs of wear at spine ( a couple of nicks), wear (almost a split ) at top left corner, still totally intact, repairable. Edge at opening is clean with the faintest sign of wear.

Back cover is very very clean — almost no aging to note, the slightest indications  of storage.
