Recorded in Chicago 1959 and originally issued as 45s on C. J. Records (606 & 607)

This record is an item from my own collection. It is in absolutely Mint condition and accordingly it is a pristine copy of this very fine and rare EP. Please be aware that I do not normally use the M/M- grading for used records, but in this instance it is wholly justified. The truly sparkling vinyl comes with an unblemished sleeve. It really has only been played once!

Little Mack was a (1934 - 2000) Chicago harmonica player and general entrepreneurial man-about- town. He was a good working blues artist but never hit the big time but did record a session for Checker. He ran several of his own labels and clubs. In 1999, Canadian label Electro-Fi Records issued a fine CD of his PM and Simmons label masters. The four tracks included on this EP were recorded in 1959 for the Carl Jones owned, CJ label of Chicago. ‘Jumping at Cadillac’ also features top harp man James Cotton and is a romping tribute to influential deejay and club & label owner, Cadillac Baby. The Outasite imprint was an offshoot of the Blue Horizon label operated by Mike Vernon. This is a limited edition pressing stated to be of only 99 copies which make this a rare opportunity to acquire an absolute gem in prime condition! They turn up, but not in this condition.
