*DISCLAIMER: Though Dimension unashamedly marketed this pressing as "stereo," in truth it was a mash-up of true stereo recordings and mono/"rechanneled" ones. We want to make it clear that we are not representing this as an entirely stereo disc as Dimension did. IT IS NOT. It is, however, hideously rare in this pressing, and does contain some real stereo content. Please keep this in mind as you read on.
In 1962, stereo was still a novelty--the domain of older listeners, audiophiles and those with big bankrolls and bulky, car-sized console turntable units! Most pop and rock music was meant to be heard in mono, and by and large, that's how it sold.
On the off-chance that some stereo-owning suburbanite might want to hear the latest hit sounds in binaural beauty, most early pop and rock LPs offered limited pressings of stereo versions. One of the hardest-to-find stereo discs of this fertile period is Little Eva's one-and-only long-player.
And oh, what a beautiful example of this scarce stereo platter!
Condition:
JACKET: Colors leap off the front laminated panel of this jacket. So crisp and bright! Corners are slightly stubbed, but intact. Spine is solid and clean. Edge seams are clean, with only minor contusions. Back panel is smooth and clean, with minor rubwear present at top. Overall, this sleeve is a strong EX.
VINYL: Psychedelically lurid labels (blue/lavender/green) are crisp and clean. The vinyl is glossy, smooth and has only the faintest vestigial flaws. It's a magical M- disc.
