PLEASE NOTE.... I JUST DROPED THE PRICE TO SELL THIS WEEKEND!!!.....From DOT RECORDS is an record celebrating the life and history of Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach, California.... first managed by the GREAT Mickey Thompson in 1955 but sadly closed on December 2,1972. This record itself is from the early 1960's. Known to So-Cal gearheads as perhaps the finest drag strip EVER! This is where drag racing grew up in Southern California and was started in the 1940's. . This strip was operated by the Lions Club as a way to get kids off the street from racing. Their motto was, "Drive the Highways, Race at Lions". This is a very collectible piece as even if you found another record like this, it would NOT be in this great of condition. The LP itself looks in Near EXCELLENT condition, the most wear looks to be from taking it out and putting it back in the sleeve. I do not have a record player to test it on, strictly by eye. The cover is in great shape, with very little ring wear, NO writing, sticker marks or creases, see photos. COVER is BRIGHT and CLEAN.
