Up for auction is a very rare slice of Link Wray.  This LP, "Link Wray Sings and Plays Guitar" was privately released on brother Vernon's Vermillion Record label.  It was sold from the bandstand and at local record shops in the Maryland / Virginia / Washington DC area.  It is estimated between 500-1000 copies were pressed.  Deep groove!

This is an ALL VOCAL record, with many rare tracks, straight from the basement at the Wray Farm in Accokeek - Baby Doll, Run Boy Run, I Wanta Get Married, Mashed Potato Party, Walking Down The Street Called Love, Remember the Twist, I Need Someone Like You, Young Hearts, Blue Eyes ( Don't Run Away), Love Me Forever, I'd Do Anything For You and If This Is Wrong.

The vinyl does have several light scratches on both sides, with some "hang your fingernail" scratches on "Baby Doll" and "Run Boy Run".  Labels are clean but yellowed with age.

The record cover has a full spine and top seam split, and a smaller three inch split along the bottom and a couple corner dings.  The back white cover has yellowed with age.

All proceeds from this sale help to pay for a long overdue top to bottom update of our website - WraysShack3Tracks.com.  

This record is NOT in mint condition, but it should be in the collection of every fan of rock and roll guitar.  Consider it best for display purposes or as a placeholder until you can find a better copy.  (That might take a while...)

All records are visually graded with a quality light source, unless otherwise noted.  Any flaws are described above.  Please see details of the grading process below.

Your record will be cleaned on a professional cleaning machine prior to shipment. Any missing sleeves will be replaced.  Your record will be packed well in a quality mailer to ensure it arrives at your door in the same condition it left ours.

Bookmark us!  We have recently acquired 15,000 rock, jazz, swing, country and blues LPs from the estate of a lifelong record collector.  Most all are VG+ to NM!

We do not know how the item purchased will sound when played on your audio equipment.  Visual appearance tells a great deal about an item's condition, but please be aware that vintage vinyl may play worse than the visual grade may suggest.  And everyone's ear is different - what may be acceptable to one listener will be complete noise to another.
