Description

Limp Bizkit – Huge British Music Industry Award

This is a genuine Double-Platinum Award issued by Interscope Records for 600,000 sales in the UK of the album ‘Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water’.  It was presented in 2000 to the Virgin retail chain.  This stunning multi-matted award is in a large silver metal frame measuring 20x23 inches (51x58cms) and is in very good condition.  The plaque mounted on the award reads:

Presented to

VIRGIN RETAIL

to recognise sales in the United Kingdom

of more than 600,000 copies of the

FLIP / INTERSCOPE ALBUM ‘CHOCOLATE STARFISH AND THE HOT DOG FLAVORED WATER’

2000

This award was produced by Framous, the official BPI (British Phonographic Industry) award manufacturer.  These awards were only presented within the music industry (in this case to Virgin Retail), and should not be confused with any kind of replica or ‘limited edition’ discs that are sold direct to the public.

A stunning & very rare piece of music memorabilia.

Please see my other listings for more rare awards from the music industry.
