Lightnin' Hopkins - Lightnin' and the Blues

Original US pressing on the Herald label. LP - 1012. From 1959. Here we have the mega rare micro pressing lp of this legendary blues master! This lp is a seminal classic that would be a cornerstone of any blues collectors collection. The record plays VG++, you can hear 2 or 3 small marks, but the rest plays EX, in other words there isn't surface crackle. Visually the vinyl is VG++, it has one 3cm feelable mark, and one nearly feelable mark about the same size. The cover is VG++, the front and back look great, but here is some light ringwear on the front and back. There are 5 small light stains on the back. There is some scotch tape on the seam. There is one 5" seam split along the top, a 1/2" split on the side, and what might be a split under the scotch tape on the bottom. The cover still does look excellent though, see pic. Once in a lifetime auction, we never see these for sale.

Important note: Insurance is required on this item! We charge for insurance at cost. Also, we only offer airmail for this auction and will be using extra packing materials so please not the s/h cost of $5.99 to the US, $8 to Canada, and $13 overseas. Thanks! :)

We package all of our records in a very sturdy box, with an extra cardboard insert to insure safe arrival! (this particular lp will also be bubble wrapped).

Our grading system:
Still Sealed means that, it is still sealed.
NM means near mint, in other words it's perfect from what I can tell, no nicks, marks, wear or scratches. Just like off the shelf, but not sealed.
EX means that it is in excellent condition. There may be slight wear on the cover, but no seam splits, and not a lot of wear, it still looks great. For the record it means that it may have a few light marks, but nothing feelable, or that would effect the sound quality.
VG++ means that the cover may have a small seam split, or a lot of wear, but still look good. For the record it means that there may be several light marks on the record, or a couple of feelable marks that could effect the play but would not ruin the record. This could mean a short scratch or 2 on one or 2 songs.
VG+ means that the cover has a huge seam split and some wear, or has a lot of wear. For the record it means that there is one or 2 long feelable scratches on the record, or a few short scratches.

1. You cannot receive the multiple auction shipping discount unless you pay for ALL the winning auctions in ONE payment, and LIST all the items won with that payment.
2. If your lp gets lost or damaged in the mail, and you didn't insure it, we cannot do anything about it! We have only had 4or 5lps go missing since we started so don't worry too much.
