LEVIATHAN Self Titled HARD PROGRESSIVE PSYCH ROCK 1974 Very Rare EX AMA 12501 Very Rare album. Rare Collectable Out of Print. AMA 12501 Initially released in 1974, as this was the American progressive band's sole effort. I asked around a bit - and even the most (knowledgeable / avid collectors) that I know swear up and down that they've never even heard of Leviathan. Went out on the Internet - seeking info on this collective and they've notable had a connection with a less obscure band - Mike Stuart Span. Tunes here (that, I personally) thought made this CD reissue a keeper are - the astounding opener "Arabesque", the ten-minute "Endless Dream", "Angel Of Death" and the seven-minute rocking "Quicksilver Clay". Personnel: Peter Richardson - organ & vocals, Wain Bradley - bass, guitars & vocals, Grady Trimble - guitars, John Sadler - mellotron, Don Swearingen - piano and Shof Beavers - drums. Might possibly appeal to fans of (don't hold me to it) The Move, early Pink Floyd, The Nice and Status Quo.
